Boxmaster first opened its doors in January of 1981. At that time, the plant was located in Richmond, B.C., and employed just 7 people. Despite being launched during the early 1980’s recession, Boxmaster’s revenue doubled in the first two years of operation. In 1996, the company relocated to Burnaby and proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary alongside founding clients. The scope of business has always been the same for Boxmaster from the beginning; service any and all industries with quality and uniquely designed products. Although the scope has not changed, the context has with one of the biggest industries we service: the food industry. Food safety has become ever so prominent in this industry, as it should be. Boxmaster, in recognition of this change, moved to a new facility in its current location on Annacis Island and pursued IFS PACsecure, a food safety and quality certification for the packaging industry. This directional change has proudly made us the only IFS PACsecure certified corrugated manufacturer in Western Canada. It is through our commitment to service and customer excellence that we attribute our success to. With our dedicated employees and the continued support of our clients, we look forward to what the next 30 years holds in store for us.
